董卓屯兵城外，每日帶鐵甲馬軍入城，橫行街市，百姓惶惶不安。卓出入宮庭，略無忌憚。後軍校尉鮑信，來見袁紹，言董卓必有異心，可速除之。紹曰：“朝廷新定，未可輕動。”鮑信見王允，亦言其事。允曰：“且容商議。”信自引本部軍兵，投泰山去了。
