相比于《美国新闻与世界报道》注重大学学术专业排名的传统，《普林斯顿评论》的大学排名更注重学生在校的吃、住、学、玩等体验感，也对大学生们有更全面、细致和现实的意义。

最新的这份大学排名可谓是超全。《普林斯顿评论》的调研人员对美国382所大学内超过13万名学生进行问卷调查。问卷里问题多达80项，包括课堂体验、教授、学校设施、学校管理、学生幸福度等80多个问题。
