中文裡的“低頭”一詞，你有沒有想過它其實有兩個意思呢？一是下巴微收，二是在避免撞到某些“頂”時頭部整體向下。
1. Duck your head 低頭
Duck your head when you go under the slide.
你從滑梯下面鑽過去的時候低著點兒頭。
(1) Duck指的是像小鴨子一樣，迅速低一下頭。
(2) 亦可用lower your head或者直接說duck。
接下來，我們討論一下“下巴微收”的那種低頭，和“下巴微抬”的那種抬頭，英文怎麼說？
對於0-3歲的寶寶，英語母語人士通常用“往哪裡看”的概念表達“低頭”、“抬頭”。
2. Look down 往下看
Let me see if your face is clean. Don't look down.
我看看你臉乾不乾淨。別往下看。
亦可用：
(1) Look at the floor. 看地板。
(2) Look at the ground. 看地。
(3) Eyes down. 往下看。
3. Look up 往上看
I'm going to wash your neck. Look up.
我要給你洗脖子了。抬頭。
亦可用：
(1) Look at the ceiling. 看天花板。
(2) Look at the sky. 看天。
(3) Eyes up. 往上看。
對於4歲以上的寶寶，英語母語人士會使用和中文的“低頭、抬頭”更加匹配的英文。
4. Tilt your head down 低頭
Let me see if your face is clean. Don't tilt your head down.
我看看你臉乾不乾淨。低頭。
亦可用：
(1) Put your chin down. 下巴向下。
(2) 省略put your，直接說Chin down。
(3) Put your chin to your chest. 收下巴。
(4) Bow your head. 低頭。
注意bow的讀音，它作為蝴蝶結和弓箭時，讀作[bəu]，而作為鞠躬和低頭時，讀作[bau]。另外，在祈禱場景下，一定要用bow your head。
5. Lift your chin up 抬頭、抬下巴
I'm going to wash your neck. Lift your chin up.
我要給你洗脖子了。抬頭。
亦可省略lift your，直接說Chin up。
那麼，比“抬頭”幅度要大一些的仰頭呢？
6. Put your head back 仰頭
I'm going to rinse the shampoo out. Put your head back.
我要把洗髮水沖掉了。仰頭。
亦可將put替換為tilt。
接下來，我們講講把“頭”趴在…...上，以及隨後的把“頭”抬起來。
7. Lay your head down on… 頭趴在……上
You won't have nap time in elementary school. You can lay your head down on the desk and rest after lunch.
上小學了就沒有午睡了。你吃完午飯可以在桌上趴會兒。
(1) 亦可將lay替換為put。
(2) Elementary school是小學一詞的美式說法，primary school是英式說法。
Lay your head on my shoulder.
趴我肩膀上。
8. Lift your head up 抬起頭
Lunch break is over and class is about to start. Lift your head up.
午休時間結束了，該上課了。把頭抬起來。
9. Turn around 轉頭；轉身；轉圈
Turn around可以表示轉“頭”，轉“身”，以及一直“轉”。
(1) Turn around 轉頭
Look where you're going. Don’t turn around.
往前看。別回頭。
表達別回頭的意思，還可以用：
Don't look back. 別往後看。
(2) Turn around 轉身；轉過來；轉過去
Turn around. Let me zip up your jacket.
轉過來。我給你把拉鎖拉上。
Turn around. Let me do your hair.
轉過去。我給你梳梳頭。
(3) Turn around 轉圈
How many times can you turn around?
你能轉幾圈？
亦可用spin around。
10. Tilt your head to the side 歪頭
You're taking an ID photo. Don't tilt your head to the side. Keep your head straight.
你在照證件照呢。別歪頭。頭放正。
11. Nod = nod your head 點頭
(1) If your answer is yes, nod your head.
如果你的答案是“是”，就點點頭。
亦可用If you answer yes, nod.
(2) She nodded yes.
她點點頭，表示同意。
亦可用She nodded her head yes.
12. Shake your head 搖頭
If your answer is no, shake your head.
如果你的答案是“不”，就搖搖頭。
