simple, what is social determinants of health? My professor invented this idea when I was a student at York University, Canada. I never thought this idea would be so fantastic and mysterious. In fact, I never thought one day i would be trapped by this idea and devoted part of my life time writing a paper on this topic. So, the social determinants of health is actually the determinants that determine your health status. It includes the hospital you are going in when you are ill for example. When my parents born into a wealthy family, they inherit a huge amount of fortune from my grandparents. These inheritance pass to me. I was born into a rich family. Of course, I was native American. my grand-grand-grand father move to America and start business here. From that time to the present, my family not only acquire the rights of residency in the United States, but accumulate a lot of money from running and managing the family business. As an American, I have the rights to receive health-care, I can enjoy 30% deductible amount of my tuition fees, I can have 30% deductible amount of my life insurance, I have green card, I have residency rights, I can go to hospital, I have the access to the public services. That is the social determinant, housing, education, payments, rights, bill, rental housing, tuition fees, hospital, day-care, surgeries, everything I enjoy form the deductible amount or free from those above is resulted form my American citizenship card. This foundation is laid by my grand-grand-grand parents. They struggled to get the residency right in American 200 years ago. and they succeed. right now, their children inherit the citizenship form them, and enjoy every benefit that this country bringing to their citizen thanks to their effort from 200 years ago. Comparing with those new immigrants, I have residency right, and I can enjoy the service from this country. While the new immigrants are not about to enjoy the services, because they don't have the citizenship. They have to work hard and strive for it. maybe 10 years, maybe 20 years maybe 30 years. Thanks god, in American society, I am healthier than those new immigrants/new-commers.
