A Car Is A Symbol Of Wealth
Henry: Don't you think there are more and more cars running on the road?
Mike: I think so. It looks cool when you drive a car yourself.
Henry: Yeah. What type of car do you like best?
Mike: Honda. I think both its design and performance are perfect.
Henry: Will you consider buying a BMW, or Cadillac, or some other famous brands if you are rich?
Mike: Of course. It represents who you are in the society. It shows your social status, your wealth and so on.
Henry: I See.
Mike: I think many people regard it as a symbol of success, so they are very proud of owning a famous car
Henry: Sounds reasonable.
亨利:你不觉得现在路上的车越来越多了吗?
迈克:是啊。自己开车真的很酷啊。
亨利:嗯。你最喜欢哪种车呢?
迈克:本田吧。我觉得它的设计和性能都很好。
亨利:假如你有钱的话,你会考虑买宝马或是凯迪拉克或是别的名车吗?
迈克:当然了。它代表了你在社会里的角色。它显示你的社会地位,你的财富等。
迈克:我觉得很多人都把车视为成功的象征,因此他们以拥有名车而感到骄傲。
亨利:原来如此。
