英語中也有很多與之相關的習語。

1. have a cast iron stomach
不要按字面理解為“有個鐵胃”，
其實它和實際意思有點聯繫。
“有個鐵胃”其實也就是
“吃、喝任何東西都沒問題”，
和常聽人說起的“吃嘛嘛香”意思類似。

2. have butterflies in one's stomach
這個短語可不是“胃裡有蝴蝶”，
它其實表達的是一種持續不斷的恐懼、
緊張或憂慮的心情，
和中文裡說的“心裡感到七上八下”很相似。
實際意思是“非常緊張”。
I am going to make a speech in front all the staff and students of my school, I have butterflies in my stomach now.
我明天要在全校師生面前演講，現在真的十分緊張。
3. feel a knot in the pit of one’s stomach
這個短語和上一個類似，
字面意思是“感到胃裡有個節一樣”，
實際表示“心情興奮，焦慮，過度悲傷或憤怒”
I felt a knot in the pit of my stomach when I heard that he was sent to the hospital last night.
聽說他昨晚住院了，我的心裡揪了一下。
