說明:
A.從上面的習慣用語當中我們可以看出，out of可以表示“出於”，“由於”，“不再(處於某種狀態)”，“沒有”，“失去”，“不”等意思。
B.在這類習慣用語當中，out of後的名詞一般不加冠詞等限定詞。如果有限定詞，要麼、。of表示“在……外”;“離開”，“從……出來”(和into相對);“從”、“由”(意思接近from)等意思。如:He slipped out of the room and went softly downstairs.要麼，這個慣用語與不帶限定詞的慣用語意義不同。
