它实际上是省略了动名词 sitting for(eight hours),seeing引导的为分词短语，表示伴随动作。
主句的谓语是系动词is
as far as在这里表示“到……程度”、“就……而言”，是连词,连接比较状语
参考译文翻译成：至多。我觉着很好。要我翻也就是大白话：默默地钓一天鱼，一遍遍看8个小时同一部电影，他们也就那样了！
