在近代錢幣史中，有壹枚存世稀少，彌足珍貴的銀幣，其幣面非大清龍圖，非民國袁世凱、孫中山、蔣介石肖像，在近代銀幣中僅此壹種。那就是民國十二年龍鳳圖壹圓銀幣，這枚銀幣在收藏界是知名的。但業界外可能多數聞所未聞，見所未見。
