“頭暈”用英語怎麼說？

說到“頭疼”我們都能第一時間反應出來“headache”，

toothache 牙疼

stomach ache 胃疼

backache 背疼

身體部位加上ache，就可以表達某個部位“疼”

那“頭暈”你知道如何表達麼？

01、syncope /'sɪŋkəpɪ/

n.(also fainting episode)

a short period of time when a person becomes unconscious暈厥

例句：

Postural syncope occurs when the body cannot supply enough blood to the brain in theupright position because of low blood pressure.

直立時因血壓過低導致大腦供血不足時會出現直立性暈厥。

02、faint /feɪnt/

adj.to feel weak, as if you are about to become unconscious

虛弱無力;感到眩暈;快要暈倒似的

例句：

She felt faint with hunger.

她餓得頭昏眼花。

v.to suddenly become unconscious for a short time, usually falling down

昏厥;暈倒

例句：

①He faints at the sight of blood.

他一見血就暈。

②I nearly fainted in the heat.

我差點熱暈過去。

She took one look at the hypodermic needle and fainted (dead) away (= becameunconscious immediately).

她一眼看到注射針頭就昏了過去。

03、dizzy /'dɪzɪ/

adj.feeling as if everything is turning around, and that you are not able to balance and may fall down

眩暈的，頭暈目眩的，眼花繚亂的

例句：

I felt dizzy with excitement as I went up to collect the award.

我去領獎時激動得有些眩暈。

Syncope is just another word for fainting from any cause, and usually means a problem with the heart. People can feel dizzyfrom a lot of different reasons, including vertigo, which is usually a problem with the ears, or other causes of dizziness that have to do with the nerves. But syncope means fainting from a disease of the heart.

Syncope是faint的另一種說法，通常隱含有心臟問題。人們會因為很多不同的原因感到頭暈（dizzy），包括眩暈，這通常是耳朵的問題，或其他與神經有關的原因。而syncope就隱含因心臟疾病而昏厥。

As adjectives the difference between dizzy and faintis that dizzyis having a sensation of whirling, with a tendency to fall; giddy; feeling unbalanced or lightheaded while faint is lacking strength; weak; languid; inclined to swoon; as, faint with fatigue, hunger, or thirst.

As verbs the difference between dizzy and faint

is that dizzy is to make dizzy, to bewilder while faint is to lose consciousness caused by a lack of oxygen or nutrients to the brain, usually as a result of a suddenly reduced blood flow (may be caused by emotional trauma, loss of blood or various medical conditions).

作為動詞dizzy和faint的區別是,dizzy是致使頭暈而迷惑，而faint是由於大腦缺氧而使人失去意識，通常是由於血流量突然減少的結果(可能是由於情感創傷、失血或各種疾病)。
