Lesson 10 Not for jazz 不適於演奏爵士樂
We have an old musical instrument .It is called a clavichord.
(我家有件古樂器，被稱作是古鋼琴。一般現在時，表示現在還在家中）
It was made in Germany in 1681.
（它是1681年德國製造的。一般過去時，被動語態）
Our clavichord is kept in the living room.
（我們的古鋼琴擺放在客廳裡。一般現在時態、被動語態）
It has belonged to our family for a long time.
（它已經屬於我們家很久了。現在完成時，表示有一段時間了）
The instrument was bought by my grandfather many years ago.
（這個樂器是我的祖父多年以前買的。一般過去時，被動語態）
Recently it was damaged by a visitor.
（最近，它被一個訪客給搞壞了。一般過去時，被動語態
）She tried to play jazz on it! She struck the keys to hard and two of the strings were broken.
（她想用它來彈奏爵士樂！她擊鍵太用力，以至於兩根琴絃斷了。）
My father was shocked.
（我父親大為吃驚。被震驚了）
Now we were not allowed to touch it.
（現在，我們不被允許碰它。修好之前不能碰，所以還是用的一般過去時）
It is being repaired by a friend of my father's.
（它正在被父親的一個朋友修理，父親的一個朋友正在修理它。正在進行時、被動語態)
注意：一般過去時中的被動語態的用法。
