Tom: Yeah, why would they care? Like they’re gonna miss the dry cleaning coupons she hands out at Halloween! Honey .What can I say, you're damned if you do.You're damned if you don't. So, I don't know, good luck with that!
他們才不關心呢？你以為他們在想念她在萬聖節派發的乾洗優惠券嗎？親愛的，要我怎麼說，你去不去都不爽，我放棄了呢 你就自求多福吧。
damn[dæm]在口語中經常使用：
int.(表示厭煩、生氣，失望等) 該死，他媽的，討厭;
Don't be flippant, damn it! This is serious.
別不當回事，該死！這可不是鬧著玩兒的事
adj.(表示厭煩) 可惡的，討厭的，該死的; (加強語氣) 十足的，完全的;
v.(表示憤怒) 該死，混賬; 令(某人)下地獄;
Lynette (calls after him): Honey, I'm hating you a little right now.
親愛的我現在有點討厭你了。
Gabrielle: Hi, honey, look at my new shoes.
親愛的，看看我的新鞋
Carlos: Yeah.
Gabrielle: Aren't they gorgeous?
是不是超好看？
gorgeous ['ɡɔrdʒəs] adj. 華麗的,豔麗的;極好的,稱心的;美麗動人的,光彩照人的
gorgeous用來形容任何美麗的事物和人（大帥哥，大美女都可以）
drop-dead gorgeous形容一個人超級漂亮
Carlos: Honey, I'm trying to watch the game.
親愛的，我在看比賽呢
Gabrielle: Sorry.抱歉
Carlos: How did you buy new shoes?
你怎麼又買新鞋了
Gabrielle: Shh! We'll talk later, you're watching the game.
晚點談，專心看你的比賽吧。
Carlos: No, I want to talk about it now.
不現在就說清楚。
Carlos: You don't have any money, so what's the story?
你沒錢，這是怎麼回事呀？
story美劇中經常出現，表示“解釋事情的緣由，事情的發展”之類的意思。
Gabrielle: Oh, you've heard it before. Girl meets boy. Boy buys girl nice things. Girl leaves happy.
老掉牙的故事了。女孩男孩相遇，男孩買東西給女孩，女孩就高興了。
Carlos: What did you do?你做什麼了？
Gabrielle: You know I forgot how generous men could be. I also forgot I have options. A whole bunch of them.
我忘了男人原來可以出手這麼闊綽，我還忘了我還有大把大把的選擇。
Carlos: What the hell are you talking about?
你到底在說什麼呢？
Gabrielle: I don't need your credit cards, Carlos. And I don't need your money. But if our marriage is going to work, I need your respect.
卡洛斯，我不需要你的信用卡了，也不需要你的錢了。但如果我們的婚姻要繼續維持下去，你得尊重我。
Carlos: I'm not ripping up the post-nup.
