With deep feelings you’ll cross the Yangtze River
飛燕晴川頻起舞，
Swallows dance frequently over the sunny river
洞庭青草春洲綠。
Grass-covered islets on Dongting are green in spring
此別離樽心共訴：
With the same wish we drink the glass of parting wine
一路平安，何懼關山阻。
Wishing you a safe journey, not afraid of the rough road
且把相思留幾許，
It’s not necessary to miss each other too much
歸來再剪西窗燭。
We'll cut candles again at the west window after your return
