1.使用具體名字： 模糊的寫法可能是： He sold his camper. 而具體詞彙的使用則是：Luke sold his Winnebago.
2.使用逼真活潑的動詞： 模糊的寫法： The flag moved in the breeze. 具體化變成：The flag fluttered in the breeze.
3.名詞前使用修飾詞匯： 模糊寫法： A man strained to lift the crate. 具體化變成：A heavyset, perspiring man strained to lift the heavy wooden crate.注意這裡heavyset, perspiring, heavy wooden這些字的使用。
4.使用與感官有關的詞彙： 這些詞彙包括視覺，聽覺，視覺，味覺，觸覺等。
模糊寫法： That woman jogs five miles a day. 視覺具體化： That fragile-looking, gray-haired woman jogs five miles a day.
