大家对question并不陌生，最常见的意思就是“问题”。pop the question字面意思：提问题，不过大家肯定都猜到不能这样简单理解。尤其，女朋友叫你pop the question时，千万别傻傻地跟她提一堆问题和要求，否则，活该你娶不到老婆！
“求婚”英语怎么说？
1. pop the question
其实是“求婚”的地道口语说法，这里的the question特指：“Will you marry me?”这个问题。
例句：
She waited for years for him to pop the question.
她等了好多年等他求婚。
2. propose
英 [prə'pəʊz]，美 [prə'poz]， 除了“提出、提议、建议”，还有“求婚”的意思。
例句：
He had proposed to Isabel on her birthday.
他在伊莎贝尔的生日向她求婚。
另外，“求婚”还可以用下面这个表达：
ask for someone's hand in marriage
例句：
Stuart asked for her hand six months later.
斯图尔特6个月后就向她求婚了。
“订婚”英语怎么说？
1. engaged
英[ɪn'geɪdʒd; en-]，美[ɪn'gedʒd]
表示：订婚了的，已订婚的。
get engaged 订婚
be/get engaged to sb 与某人订婚
例句：
They were not officially engaged.
他们没有正式订婚。
She's engaged to Peter.
她与彼得订了婚。
2. betrothed
英 [bɪ'trəʊðd]， 美 [bɪ'troðd]
形容词：已订婚的；名词：已订婚者。
be betrothed to sb 与某人订婚
例句：
She was betrothed to his brother.
她与他的兄弟订了婚。
She is here without her betrothed.
她丢下未婚夫一个人来了。
“闪婚”英语怎么说？
flash marriage
flash除了表示“ 闪光、闪现”，还有“突然行动”的意思。
例句：

你赞成“闪婚”吗？
“奉子成婚”英语怎么说？
“奉子成婚”可不是marry with a child！marry with a child实际是指：带着孩子结婚(孩子已出生)。
英语里面，“奉子成婚”是：shotgun marriage/wedding。shotgun原本是"猎枪"，这里表示"强迫"；奉子成婚就是因为有孩子被迫提前结婚。
例句：
They are going to have shotgun marriage next week.
他们下周要结婚了，是奉子成婚。
“催婚”英语怎么说？
“催婚”不是ask you to get married，这个说法，相当于“求婚”。其实，“催婚”可以说：
push sb to get married
pressure sb to get married
encourage sb to get married
"催婚"最经典的，应该是下面这一句：
You're not getting any younger, you'd better get married.
