【用法】
① become 不和不定式连用。
② become一般不用于“将来成为”的意思，而be可以。
【搭配或短语】
become of=happen to 发生，遭遇：
I wondered what had become of him.
我想知道他的情况如何。
【辨析】become, get, go, grow, turn
它们作系动词时都有“变得”的意思，但用法有所不同：
become, get, go 通常表示变化的过程已经完成，become较为正式，get和go比较口语化：
Tom became ill. Tom 生病了。
Tom has got rich. Tom 变富了。
Tom must have gone mad. Tom肯定疯了。
grow有“逐渐变成新的状态”的含义：
She is growing into a beautiful young lady.
她渐渐出落成一个美丽的姑娘。
turn 有“成为完全不同的事物”的含义：
The milk turned sour.
牛奶变酸了。
注：turn 作系动词时后可接名词作表语，但不用a或an,而become 则要用，如：
The young man has turned writer.
The young man has become a writer.
这个年轻人成了作家。
