use 用法詳解

1. use意為“用；使用；運用”，單三形式為uses，例如:She uses knife to cut apples.她用刀子切水果；過去式為used，如:Tom used my pen last night昨晚湯姆用了我的鋼筆；現在分詞為using，如:Look, your mother is using new spoon. 看，你媽媽在用新勺子。後跟動詞不定式，結構為: use sth. to do sth. 使用某物做某事。例如: You can use my new dictionary to look up the words. 你可以用我的字典查單詞。

2. 區分used to do, be used to do與be used to doing.

(1)used to do 意為“曾經”。eg: I used to be a teacher, now I am a doctor. 曾經我是老師，現在我是醫生。

(2) be used to do意為“被用來做某事”。

eg: Pencils are used to write English. 鉛筆是用來寫字的。

(3) be used to doing. 習慣於做某事；適宜於做某事

eg: I used to live a small village, but now I am used to living in big citylife. 我曾經居住在農村，但現在我習慣大城市的生活。

3.use sth to do 和use sth for doing 的區別：

兩者都表示用…做某事,to do sth表示目的,for doing sth表示用途.二者意思基本相同 eg.I use my pen to write a letter.I use my pen for writing a letter.
