《Dry Bones》是著名出版社Child’s Play出版的一本既古怪又有趣的洞洞書。
封面的骷髏造型，面帶微笑，充滿動感，非但不讓人覺得恐怖，反而更加可愛親切。
骨骼是我們人體的基本架構，支撐著我們的身體，就如同建築物的鋼筋樑柱。而骨骼的作用又有多奇妙呢？除了保護我們體內的器官之外，我們之所以能夠踢球、騎車、玩滑板，活動自如，也都是骨骼的功勞。
繪本中，一群小朋友正在玩拼搭骨頭的遊戲，通過一句Let’s connect those dry bones，把身體的各個部位的骨頭拼搭在一起，使小朋友非常直觀地瞭解自己的身體。
本書圍繞人體骨骼結構展開，小朋友按照身體從下往上的順序，依次可以掌握身體部位的名稱：toe（腳趾）、foot（腳掌）、ankle（踝關節）、leg（腿）、knee（膝蓋）、thigh（大腿）、hip （屁股）、back（背）、shoulder（肩膀）、neck（脖子）、以及head（頭）。
是一本很好的科學普及繪本。
讀繪本時會發現，每翻一頁，就會出現兩個新的關於身體部位的骨頭。讀到最後，一個完整的骷髏就出現啦。洞洞書的設計就是這樣神奇，帶著小朋友們進行探知。
繪本的第二頁，出現了幾個身體部位的詞：finger（手指）、hand（手）、wrist（手腕）、arm（手臂）、elbow（胳膊肘）。雖然後面沒有再出現，爸爸媽媽也是可以給小朋友仔細講解一下，因為這幾個詞在生活中使用的頻率也是非常高的。
在倒數第二頁，又出現了一張與前面圖相對應的身體部位圖，這些單詞是不是都看不懂呢？這些可都是關於人體部位的專業術語。
作者介紹
Kate Edmunds，曾在電視公司當了十年的設計師。後來，熱衷於創意插畫和新奇主意的Kate成立了自己的插畫工作室。
更是因為寶貝的出生，讓Kate腦洞大開，創作了她唯一的一本童書：Dry Bones。
