2，other泛指

其余的,可能是一部分，也可能是全部，+复数名词=others

我有很多笔，一些是蓝色的，一些是红色的（可能剩余的都是红色的，也可能红色的只是剩余的一部分，可能还有黄色的、黑色的）。

3，the other特指

（1），单独使用或+单数名词，二者中的另一个。

I have two pens, one is blue, the other is red.(固定搭配one ……，the other……)

我有两支笔，一支是蓝色的，还有一支是红色的（二者其中一支）。

（2），

+复数名词=the others 一定范围内其余的全部。

I have many pens，some are blue, the other pens/the others are red.

我有很多笔，一些是蓝色的，其余的是红色的（除了蓝色的，剩余的全部都是红色）。
