《商君書》是法家的一部重要作品，現在我們用漢英兩個版本來欣賞一下！
1.且夫有高人之行者，固見負於世；有獨知之慮者，必見驁於民。 Besides, people with higher status than ordinary people would be criticized by secular society. A person who is unique in seeing and thinking must be laughed at by ordinary people.
何況具有超出普通人的高明人，本來就會被世俗社會所非議。獨一無二見識思考的人，也一定遭到平常人的嘲笑。
2.愚者暗於成事，知者見於未萌。
Fools do not understand after they have done things, and wise men anticipate things before they appear.
愚笨的人在辦成事情之後還不明白，有智慧的人對那些還沒有顯露萌芽的事情就能先預測到。 
3.民不可與慮始，而可與樂成。
People, instead of discussing innovation with them, can celebrate success with them.
百姓，不可以同他們討論開始創新，卻能夠同他們一起歡慶事業的成功。
4.郭偃之法曰：論至德者不和於俗，成大功者不謀於眾。
Guo yan's legal book said: pay attention to the high moral people, do not echo those secular prejudices. Those who accomplish great things do not consult the people.
郭偃的法書上說：講究崇高道德的人，不去附和那些世俗的偏見。成就大事業的人，不去同民眾商量。 
5.法者所以愛民也，禮者所以便事也。
Dharma is used to love the people. Etiquette is for the convenience of doing things.
