Last night I got the perfect (and much needed reminder) of what we are fighting for. When the monster you’re fighting is as big and as evil as , it can be REALLY hard to see the other side.
As a critical care nurse it’s been tough to not feel a little beaten up by this monster, but today, today I feel different. Last night we were able to work as a team to create a human experience like one I could have never imagined 6 months ago. We were able to bring hope in to the shadows and celebrate love.
This morning I feel so empowered as a nurse to help fight this, I feel so thankful for the lines on my face becuase they mean I’m protected, I feel so joyful to have coworkers who are like family, I feel so appreciative of every single person who has checked in on me, donated things to our hospital to help keep us safe and fed. If you’re stuck behind the monster and can’t see the other side, I promise it’s there, we’ve got this, keep fighting.
