及物动词(即动词后可加宾语)才有被动语态。如果要说明是什么人或什么东西做了某事，则用“by+动作执行者”

无论是主动还是被动语态，句子的主语往往是说话者认为比较重要或想要强调的。如果说话人想避免用不明确的词（如 someone， a person等）作主语，就常常使用被动语态。
In the letter he was asked to call at the station.
不定式用被动语态
At the station, he was told by a smiling policeman that his bicycle had been found.
smiling现在分词做定语，宾语从句，语序，时态一致，过去完成时的被动语态
It is now being sent to his home by train.
现在进行时被动语态

The tiny village of Frinley is said to possess a ‘cursed tree'.
主语+ be said+…结构，通常译为“据说……”，是对不太有把握的事发表看法时一种谨慎的说法。
Because the tree was mentioned in a newspaper, the number of visitors to Frinley has now increased.
the number of ...的数量谓语动词用单数
The tree was planted near the church fifty years ago, but it is only in recent years that it has gained an evil reputation.
it is…that 强调句型
如果要强调某个词或某个短语，可以用 it is/was+被强调的成分+that/ who(m)结构
被强调的成分可以是主语、宾语、状语等
it is...that去掉，句子完全不缺任何成分

不定式的完成式常用于believe，declare，find，say，see，know，think，understand等动词后（这些动词常用被动语态）
