A Lazy Man 一个懒人
In a village there was a man named Wang Laowu, who was notorious (臭名昭著的) for his laziness (懒惰).
村里有个叫王老五的人，因他的懒惰而臭名昭著。
Everyone called him “Lazy Laowu”, but he never admitted (承认) he was lazy.
人人都叫他“懒老五”，可是他从来不承认他懒。
Whenever someone called him “Lazy Laowu”, he would glare (瞪眼) and say:
每当有人叫他“懒老五”，他就瞪着眼睛说：
“Who is lazy? It is just that I don't want to make my efforts in vain.”
“谁懒了？我只是不愿意白费力气罢了。”
One day he went out.
有一天他出门。
He only took several steps, then he fell down.
他只走了几步，就跌了一跤。
He got up and walked for a few more steps, then fell down again.
他爬起来又走了几步，又跌了一跤。
This time he just laid (躺) on the ground and would not get up.
这一回他索性躺在地上不起来了。
He said to himself:
他自言自语地说：
“If I knew this earlier, why did I get up in the first place?”
“早知如此，我一开始何必爬起来呢？”
