第二個地道表達是somebody deserve it，例如在美劇《摩登家庭》S5E18裡Phil被老婆冷落，他在反思時就用到了這個表達：

第三個常用到的表達是had it coming，例如在美劇《生活大爆炸》S9E7裡，Sheldon說哥哥小時候經常欺負自己，Penny感覺他很可憐，想抱抱他。這時候Leonard也想裝可憐，說自己小時候也經常被哥哥欺負，Penny回他道：
Penny: Aw. When he says things like that, I just want to hug him and make everything better.
Leonard: My brother was mean to me, too.
Penny: Yeah, you probably had it coming.
