I don't mean to brag or anything, but what we came up with was way better than the Crossland High School hunted house.

He's always bragging about his prowess(超凡技術) as a cricketer.

We realized we were gonna need to get the word out that we were doing this thing, so we got some paper and made up a bunch of flyers.

如:I am gonna go. I am going to go.

gotta = have got to

wanna = want to

wanta = want a /an

get out: 逃離,離開;外出;消息洩露;

I told him to leave and get out.

Get out and enjoy yourself, make new friends.

If word got out now, the consequences would be unbearable to contemplate.

I'll admit maybe we stretched the truth a little in our advertisement, but we had to make sure people actually showed up.

stretch: 延伸;一片;使延長使用;耗盡財力;

They're used to stretching their budgets.

show up: 露面;使難堪;

She kept saying I ought to try some out, but I wasn't going to show myself up.
