“doubt” 是“懷疑”的意思，而“no doubt” 是“不懷疑、相信、毫無疑問”的意思，如果這兩個詞作為先行詞，後面的同位語從句應該怎麼表示呢？一起看幾個例子：
例1：There is great doubt whether this will be enough.
這是就否足夠了很值得懷疑。
例2：I have my doubts whether he could win the election.
我懷疑他能否在這次選舉中獲勝。
例3：People have some doubts whether this practice will really achieve any result in energy conservation.
人們對這一做法是否真的會在節能方面取得任何效果表示懷疑。

連詞 but that 也可引導同位語從句，通常用在“否定詞 + doubt/deny/question等名詞” 結構之後。這時，but 僅起強調作用，無否定含義，常可省略；有時可省略that，而保留but。
例1：There is no doubt but（that）we will succeed in designing the project．
毫無疑問，我們能夠設計這項工程。
例2：There is no question but that having an opportunity to visit with him is helpful．
