China has been one of the most unexpected and incredible experiences that have ever happened to me. The company where I am working at was looking for someone who could speak English well and willing to relocate to Shanghai, to establish stronger connections and business relationships in China.
来中国一直是我遇到过的最意想不到和最令人难以置信的经历之一。我工作的公司正在寻找能说英语并愿意搬迁到上海的人，以便在中国建立更牢固的联系和业务关系。
The first thing that came into my mind was "why not?" I am not married, and I was looking for a change in my daily life, and I had been looking for learn a new language. I also always felt interested in the Chinese culture. What could go wrong?
Six more months after that I was taking the longest flight of my life where the next stop was my beautiful Shanghai.
我想到的第一件事就是“为什么不呢？”我没有结婚，我正在寻找日常生活的变化，我一直在寻找学习一门新语言。我也一直对中国文化感兴趣。为什么不尝试一下呢？
在那之后的六个月里，我度过了我生命中最长的一段航程，下一站是我美丽的上海。
It wasn't easy for the first few months, being in a place where you literally don't understand the language and you can't read either. It was a big challenge in my life, but in my case, China had two stages; one was when I was a laowai trying to live in China and then when I started to feel this country as my second home.
起初的几个月并不容易，因为你真的不懂语言甚至你连看都看不懂。这是我生命中的一大挑战，对我而言，在中国的经历有两个阶段；第一个阶段是是作为一个老外试图在中国生活，第二个阶段是我开始觉得这个国家是我的第二个家。
"A donde fueras haz lo que vieres"
This is a famous saying in Spanish that means "From wherever you go, do what you see others doing", which I started to put it into practice in order to make this experience unique.

Few months passed and I started to feel more and more assimilated into the Chinese culture. This began when I started to prefer using chopsticks instead of forks and knives, and drinking tea became an everyday enjoyment. Every weekend I really enjoyed the traditional dances with the ayis in the park, the pleasure of try amazing flavours without knowing exactly what I was eating, gambei with my friends in the bar and more, and you know what? I was loving it!
几个月过去了，我开始感觉越来越多地融入中国文化。这开始于我开始喜欢用筷子代替叉子和刀子，喝茶也成了日常享受。每个周末我都非常喜欢在公园里与ayis一起享受传统舞蹈的乐趣，在不知道我吃什么的情况下尝试去各种风味的乐趣，和酒吧里的朋友一起吃东西、干杯等等，你知道吗？我真的很喜欢这样的生活！
However, I realized I needed to be more focused on my work. The company started to have more deals, and I started to have less time to do all the things that made me happy, and in other words, I wasn't able to have quality time for myself to relax for a while.
但是，我意识到我需要更专注于我的工作。公司逐渐开始有更多的交易，我开始没有多少时间做每一件让我开心的事情，换句话说，我没有足够的时间让自己放松一下。
Working was taking me a lot of time along with the need of travelling from one city to another, looking for the best suppliers, going back and forth from my apartment to the office. It was so exhausting, so tiring that I stopped doing other things outside of work. From then, I jumped into the conclusion; the thing that I needed was TIME because perhaps my job does make me so happy but I needed to better balance other aspects of my life.
工作花了我很多时间，我需要从一个城市到另一个城市，寻找最好的供应商。还有从我的公寓来回办公室（也很浪费时间）。真是太累了，太累了，以至于我不再有时间做工作之外其他事了。从那时起，我得出了一个结论：我需要的是时间，因为也许我的工作让我很开心，但我需要更好地平衡生活中的其他方面。
Time, How can you get time? How can I gain more time or at least take advantage of the little free time I had? While looking for the answers to my questions, I realized I was completely wasting my time and losing the opportunity to enjoy my innovated, modern, fast-paced city with endless opportunities.
时间，怎么能争到取时间呢？我怎样才能获得更多时间或者至少利用我的空闲时间？在寻找我的问题的答案时，我开始意识到我过去完全是在浪费时间，失去了享受这个创新、现代、快节奏的城市的机会。
I was wasting my free time in the underground of the city when there was a world outside the metro (because the metro was where I spent the majority of my time when I was moving from one place to another). So I started to look for new alternatives.
当地铁外面有一个世界的时候，我在城市的地铁上浪费了我的空闲时间（因为地铁是我从一个地方到另一个地方时花费了大部分时间的地方）。所以我开始寻找新的替代品。
Walking and ridding bicycle is one of my favorite activities, but it wasn't my ideal method of getting around. Again, I had little free time and wanted to change my routine, this is why I got my NIU. It was not an immediate decision, it took me a while to get to the best one.
走路和骑自行车是我最喜欢的活动之一，但这不是我理想的出行方式，那样我仍然没有空闲时间去改变我的日常生活，这也是我选择小牛的原因。我并没有第一时间做决定，而是花了一段时间才找到最好的选择。
Without getting into details, NIU stood out among other brands, and I can ensure you that it will change your experience in urban exploration. its fast speed is perfect for my fast-paced and busy life.

Now I really enjoy going to the park and run for a while before going to work, since before I got my NIU I spent around 25 minutes to get there, and 25 minutes to get back. Now it takes me 20 minutes in total roundtrip. I am now able to win some of my time back and to live the life that I want. I've started to gain more time in doing things that, in short words, make my soul happy and free. And most importantly, I found the perfect work-life balance (family, friends, health, labor and spiritual).
现在我真的很喜欢去公园并在上班前跑一段时间，因为在我得到小牛之前我要花大约25分钟到达那里，再花25分钟回来。现在我总共仅需要20分钟的往返时间。我现在能够赢回一些时间，过上我想要的生活。我已经开始有更多时间做一些事情，简而言之，这让我的灵魂快乐和自由。最重要的是，我找到了工作与生活完美的平衡（家庭，朋友，健康，劳动和精神）。
I have had the opportunity to see Shanghai from a different perspective, which is incredible how it never stops surprising me with unexpected views and unknown corners of the city, this is what I mostly wanted to captured in my photos.

I am having a blast in China, which now I consider part of me and of the person I have become today. I don't know how much longer I will stay here or how more memories will I be able to make in my beloved 中国, but for now, I am definitely enjoying the journey in my NIU.
