手把手教你看句型语法
I was working when he came.他来的时候，我正在工作。
句型是主系表结构，when he came是时间状语从句
今天看第五种时态，过去进行时，它的结构为：be(was/were)+现在分词（动词原形+ing），第一、三人称单数作主语用was,其余用were。
过去进行时主要表示过去某时正在发生的动作或某段时间持续的状态。常用的时间状语有：at that time,at…yesterday和时间状语从句等。
句型：
- 陈述句：主语+was/were+现在分词+其他.
They were playing chess under the tree.
- 否定句：主语+was/were+not+现在分词+其他.
They were not playing chess under the tree.
- 一般疑问句：Was/Were+主语+现在分词+其他？
Were they playing chess under the tree?
用法：
- 1 表示过去某一时刻或某段时间内正在进行的动作
What was she doing at nine o'clock yesterday?昨天晚上九点她在做什么？
- 2 表示按计划、安排过去某时刻将要发生的动作
He said they were leaving for Beijing this afternoon.他说他们今天下午要去北京。
- 3 与always，constantly，forever等连用，表示赞叹、厌烦等感情色彩
He was always trying out new ideas.他总是试验一些新的设想。
- 4 表示过去某个事件发生时，另一个正在进行的动作
It was raining when they left the station.他们离开车站的时候天正在下雨。
- 5 用于表示位置移动的动词，如come，go，set off等，其过去进行时表示过去的将来要发生的动作
He said the plane was arriving soon.他说飞机快要到了。
要记清一点，就是前提是过去发生的，这样会很好理解，其实，你们有没有发现，时态还是比较简单的，是不是没有那么复杂，一步一步来，几种常用的时态我们已经讲了多半,前面也已经讲过句型结构的类型，可以操练起来写句子了。Have a try.试一试。
