Two men were travelling along together when they saw a purse full of gold coins lying in the road.

"Look what I've found," said one, picking it up and putting it in his belt.

“看,我發現了什麼,”一個人說,撿起錢包放進他的腰帶裡。

"Don't say ‘I’, say ‘we’,"said his friend. "We both saw it at the same time."

“別說‘我’,說‘我們’,”他的朋友說。“我們都同時看到了。”

"I saw it first," said the first man.

“我先看到的,”第一個人說。

After a while the man who had lost the purse came looking for it.

過了一會兒,丟了錢包的人來找。

"Thief," he cried as soon as he saw it in the traveller's belt. "You have stolen my purse."

“小偷,”他一看到旅行者腰帶上的東西就喊了起來,”你偷了我的錢包。”

"What shall we do?" said the traveller. "It looks as if we are in a lot of trouble."

“我們該怎麼辦?”旅行者說,“看來我們遇到了大麻煩了。”

"Don't say ‘we’are in trouble," said the second traveller. "You would not share the gold with me so I will not share the trouble with you."
