当前，新型冠状病毒感染肺炎疫情防控工作形势严峻，学校也采取了相应防控措施，校园秩序井然。与此同时，学校也非常惦念校内外的每一位师生。为确保广大师生的身体健康和安全，我们发出以下倡议：
Dear International Teachers and Students:
Recently, the respiratory illness caused by the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) is breaking out in China. Prevention and control of the novel coronavirus infection of pneumonia are on the processing. At this moment, we are very concerning about each TUT student and teacher. For the security of all students and fellows, there are some initiatives for your reference:

学校防控工作相关要求

请全体师生随时关注主流媒体新闻动态和学校学院相关信息，了解疫情最新发展，增强自我防护意识。新型冠状病毒通过飞沫等方式传染，感染病人的初始症状是发烧、乏力和干咳。
Please pay extra attention to the news and information released by the mainstream media or Tianjin University of Technology to know the real-time information of the epidemic. The novel coronavirus is transmitted by droplets and begins with fever, cough, difficulty breathing, or fatigue.

请在华师生注意个人防护，尽量不出门，在房间里读书、学习和休闲，勤洗手，适当进行室内锻炼，增加免疫力；需要出门时必须佩戴N95或医用口罩，防止飞沫传染；不组织或参加聚集性活动，避免到封闭、空气不流通的公众场合和人群聚集的场所活动，减少接触性传染的机会。
Please pay attention to personal medical protection. Do not go outside. Keep reading, studying, exercising, and relaxing in your own room for improving your immunity. If you have to go outside, please wear masks (preferably surgical or N95 masks) correctly. Do not organize or participate in any gathering activities and avoid going to the poorly ventilated public/crowded places with to reduce the risk of infection.

要注意房间内通风，保持室内卫生，积极配合老师做好疫情防控。为保障疫情期间的公共卫生安全，禁止在学校留学生公寓内会客。
Keep your room well ventilated and clean, actively work with teachers to control and prevent the epidemic. Do not meet your friends in the apartment during this period.

为有效防治疫情，2020年春季学期开学推迟，报到时间另行通知。全体师生不得在未接到返校通知前擅自提前返校。
All teachers and students must not return to the university in advance. The 2020 Spring Semester is postponed and the registration date will be informed later.

因学校开学时间未定，对于已经购买了返校机票的国际师生，请和购票机构联系，充分了解并利用好机票改签政策，妥善处理已有机票，尽量先将返程时间改为OPEN状态。
As we are closely following the most up-to-date information on the Coronavirus epidemic, the university remains closed until further notice. Those who have booked their air tickets back to Tianjin are advised to contact their ticket issuing agencies and to fully understand air ticket change policies and change ticket dates to ‘OPEN’ status. Please stay connected with university colleges and the Office of International Relations for further notice of exact university open date and any other information.

任何人如发现有体温异常者，第一时间报告国际交流处，及时送医院检查。
If anyone with abnormal body temperature, reports to the Office of International Relations immediately and sent to hospital in time for examination. The contact information of designated hospitals is attached.

请大家克服焦虑和恐惧情绪，相信科学，理性思考，不传谣，不信谣，不在自媒体上发布夸大和虚假的信息。
There is no need for anxiety and fear. Everyone should believe in science and keep rational thinking. Do not believe rumors, and do not circulate rumors. Do not release exaggerated and false information or ‘fake news’ through We-Media.

学校采取的系列措施
A series of actions taken by TUT
1
学校采取了严格保护措施，要求所有留校学生不出校门，仅在校内活动。
All the entrances are closed. No one is allowed to entry or exit unless authorized by the University.
2
为确保公共健康和安全，学校在国际学生宿舍一楼前台放置额温枪，为每天进出的学生进行例行测温，统计所有在校学生的身体状况。
To ensure the Public Health and Safety, TUT place thermometers at the reception desk of International students’ dormitory. Every student who enter or leave the building will be requested to measure body temperature for recording the physical status of every on-campus students.

学校清真食堂假期持续正常提供服务，负责寒假在校师生伙食保障。请全体在校师生排队取餐时保持距离，戴上口罩，尽量分散就餐，避免接触性感染。
The Muslims' canteen on campus continues to supply food for all the staff and students. Please keep the distance with others, wear the masks, when queuing, and having meal scatter to avoid contagious infection.

1. 外出旅行的学生:
International students who arrived from other area:
外出旅行返校的学生，要求先在学校指定区域进行为期14天的隔离；
Students who arrived from other area, must quarantine themselves in the designated place on campus for 14 days;
2. 寒假在校的学生:
International students who are on campus:
不要恐慌，要相信中国的防疫能力和医疗水平，做好个人防护工作，不要擅自离校，不信谣、不传谣；
Please don’t panic!! Have faith in Chinese epidemic prevention and healthcare. Do not arbitrarily leave campus. Do not believe in rumors, and do not circulate rumors;
3. 校外居住的学生:
International students who live off campus:
校外居住的学生，做好居家防护，要确保信息沟通顺畅。
Students living off-campus, ensure open your phone on, and remember to take proper measures to keep your home safe.
因为防疫需要而采取的上述措施可能会对您的生活和学习造成不便，对此我们非常抱歉，同时希望得到大家的理解、耐心和支持。让我们共克时艰！
