Money would move at the speed of a smartphone-swipe, even across borders. Libra would lubricate life in the rich world and revolutionise it in poor countries, where basic financial services are dear and often scarce.
参考译文：手机一刷，钱就转走了，甚至可以跨境交易。天秤让发达国家的人生活更为便利，而不发达国家则是产生革命性的影响——因为在这些国家里，基本的金融服务成本昂贵且稀缺。
解析：先看看两个词的意思。一个是wipe，通常所谓的“刷卡”，英文是wipe credit card。于是乎，smartphone-wipe是“刷手机”，当然，这只是一个动作，而实际上是用手机支付。另一个是dear，很普通的词，但意思即不多见，“昂贵的”，“价高的”，英文解释为：If you say that something is dear, you mean that it costs a lot of money, usually more than you can afford or more than you think it should cost.例如：CDs here are much dearer than in the States./这儿的 CD 价格比美国那边贵多了。从译法的角度来看，lubricate和revolutionize两个是使役动词，不过，在中文表达中，并不一定用“对等”方式，而在译revolutionise时，并不会说是“革命化”，而是“产生革命性影响”，而这与之前的“生活”有呼应。
