共有經濟指以互聯網平臺作為基礎，將某個產業鏈的生產、消費、服務、管理等各個環節按照某個產業發展目標進行整合，實行各盡所能，充分競爭的生產原則以及按勞動貢獻分配、優勞優酬的分配原則；按照在以上原則基礎上形成的統一的章程制度，通過財務公開，最終實現所有參與方對平臺及其收益的共有權。

共有經濟借鑑了社會主義經濟學的理論，是社會主義經濟學在互聯網經濟大潮下的一次嘗試。

共有經濟的基本理念是：通過互聯網也可以實現充分競爭和資源的有效配置，互聯網的透明性可以保證參與各方公平的收益分配。這使得分散的經濟個體因著共同利益而通過互聯網結成網絡經濟共同體成為可能。
