Yuan Datou gold coin, a rare gold coin, was issued in 1914 in the Republic of China. One side is the head of Yuan Shikai, while the other side is cast with the face value of the middle circle and every two as a circle.

在民國三年，也就是1914年，北洋軍閥政府正式鑄造袁世凱頭像銀幣。起初在天津造幣廠鑄造袁大頭壹圓銀幣，後來在南京廣東武昌等造幣廠陸續鑄造。民國時期，軍閥混戰。各地軍閥紛紛私鑄袁大頭，袁大頭的鑄造質量參差不齊，現在市面上流通的比較好品相的，大都是正規鑄幣廠生產的。而袁大頭金幣，多作為紀念幣。鑄造量甚少，存世量極罕。

In 1914, the Northern Warlord Government officially coined the silver coin of Yuan Shikai's head in the three years of the Republic of China. At first, Yuan Datou silver coins were minted in Tianjin Mint, and later in Wuchang Mint, Nanjing, Guangdong Province. During the Republic of China, warlords fought in confusion. Warlords from all over the country have made Yuan Datou privately. The casting quality of Yuan Datou is uneven. Most of the better products circulating on the market are produced by regular mints. Yuan Datou gold coins are mostly used as commemorative coins. The amount of foundry is very small and the stock is very rare.
