Use for advice and opinion

1.A: I've had a really bad headache for the past week.

Could/couldn't（1）
Use to talk about ability in the past.
(用來討論過去的能力。)
Last year, he couldn't speak English very well, but
now he can.
去年他英語還無法講得很好，但現在他可以了。
Could/couldn't（2）
Use for possibilities now or in the future.
(用在推測現在或者將來的"可能情況")
1.The phone is ringing. It could be Jack.
電話響了，可能是傑克打來的。
2. I don't know when they'll be here.
They could arrive at any time.
我不知道他們何時來這裡，他們可能隨時會到。
Could/couldn't（3）
Use for polite request.(用於客氣和禮貌的請求。)
1.Could you please open the window?

2.Could you turn down the TV?

Would/wouldn't（1）
To talk about unreal or imaginary stituations
(用於虛擬想象的情形，也就是常說的"虛擬語氣")

2. She'd travel around the world if she had
more vacation time.
