乔治·英尼斯 George Inness
1825-1894
英尼斯是美国19世纪后半期充满浪漫主义诗意的现实主义风景画家。
他出生于纽约州的一个小商人家庭，自幼喜爱绘画，早期作品受赫德森河画派的影响，曾几度去意大利和法国学习，将法国巴比松画派的影响带到美国。
后形成自己独特的风格，笔触比较自由，色彩比较丰富。
作为瑞典科学家、神学家维斯登堡的信徒，喜欢探寻大自然的奥妙，通过各种光线效果表现自然，注重气氛渲染。

但这并没有影响他对19世纪晚期形成的美国现实主义风景画作出的贡献。
英尼斯是这一时代最有才艺、最富生气的风景画家，是美国新风景画派的先驱画家。
