首先，足球运动员的成功机会多大？

First. What is the success chance of a footballer?

首先以意大利为例。根据意大利足协官方数据，其有6000万人口，60万注册青少年球员，35万成人业余注册球员，1.2万职业球员（其中3000全职业，9000半职业青年球员）。这意味着足球人口为1.5%。在足球人口中，0.5%的成才率（职业球员）。

Take Italy as an example and use FIGC official data. 60 million population, 600,000 registered youth footballer, 350,000 adult amateur footballers, 12,000 professional players (including 3,000 pro and 9,000 young professional). That means maximum 1.5% football population; 0.5% of youth footballers has a chance to become a full time professional footballer.

再以法国为例。参考法国足协官方数据，U15-U19注册球员有28万，职业球员（全职）仅1000人。这意味着0.35的成材率。

Take France as another example and use FFF official data. 280,000 registered youth players of U15-U19, compared with 1,000 professional footballers at LFP only. That means 0.35% chance to become professional footballers.

据此，我们就以0.5%为青少年球员（注册的、踢正式比赛的）成材率。这表示同时每周踢正式比赛的其他995名同龄青少年球员，如果以踢职业足球为唯一目，注定会‘失败’。这对特别是那些为了替职业足球，而放弃学业的青少年球员，是一个警告。

So, we can comfortably claim that only 0.5% of youth footballers (registering and playing official youth competitions) got a chance to live with the earnings from football. That means 995 of 1000 players of the same age, will fail.This is a high alarm for those youth players who give up studying and focus on football during their teenagers time.

第二、培养一个职业球员的年限？

没有官方权威数据。但大家公认，至少10年。因此，一旦您决定让您孩子投身足球，准备十年磨一剑，不能中断。

Secondly. How long do developing of a pro player need?There is no official figure. But it is commonly belived that 10 years (such as U11 to U21, or U10 to U20, or U12 to U22) is minimum.And the process should be consistent and continued without stoppage.

Thirdly. How long can you earn pro contracts?Accoding to a statistics by the Guardian, 8 years by average are the length of a professional footballer. So how will you survive when your earnings from pro football are gone?Is that possible?

原因很多。其中一个关键，就是球员们没有正规的良好的教育。

The reasons. No education when they grew up, among many others, is the key.

财富和名声是人堕落的诱因，特别是对那些没有受过良好教育、不懂财务管理和经营、社会组织和人的管理，而周围全是贪婪的人。

Money and fame are the sources to corrupt life, in particular for those who don't understand financial management, people management, and society due to poor education, while surrounded by greedy 'friends'.

没有正规的教育，退役球员没有生存之道，除了个别能继续在足球界谋杀，当个教练或者解说员。做足球管理，没有正规的教育，对他们太难。现代足球管理需要社会学、经济、管理、法律等背景。即使是当教练，没文化，不理解社会，不懂战略，很难当个好教练。

Without proper education, ex-players can't find a job to make a living, except a very small percentage of them being luck to work in the game as coaches or pundits. To work as football admin and management, without proper education, it is hard to image. Even working as a coach, whose jobs demands more skills of understanding of the society, for those without proper education, is challenging.

足球某种程度是智力项目。没有文化或受到教育，可能只会是个工兵型球员，因为缺乏理解足球战术和战略的能力，而不容易成为足球大师。

Football is a game of intelligence,too some extent. Without proper education, those skillfuls may survive as a worker on pitch, but may got less ability to understand the game and play masterly accordingly.

For those who want short-time success on the pitch, you got to think about the future after players retiring. Is there a susainability there?

18岁前，受教育是权利，也是成人给孩子的义务。

Education, at least to finish high school, is the foundation for youth football development.

When there is a conflict between playing football and receiving education, education should be guaranteed.

To be educated, is the rights of teenagers, but also duties of adults and guardians to those teenagers.

教育是青训的基础和关键。教育是足球发展的最好和可持续的路径。足球孩子的教育不能妥协。

Education is the best and sustainable approach to develop football. Education, is the key and the foundation to youth football.
