“敲門”千萬別翻譯成“knock the door”，因為如果和外國人說knock the door，人家怕是誤以為你要搶劫了。knock the door其實是
破門而入的意思。正確的表達應該是：①knock on the door②knock at the door （美式口語中常用來表示敲門聲）

open the door for sb/sth意思是：為...開門、提供機會/方便、創作可能。

03、show sb. the door

②show sb. to the door意思是：“把某人送到門口”，不可將兩者混淆。
