大象的工作
大象想找一份工作，可為什麼它跑回了動物園呢？小朋友們快來看看是怎麼回事吧！
The elephant stopped at our house, waving its big gray nose.
一隻大象在我家門口停下了，揮舞著他那灰色的大鼻子。
“Do you have work for an animal with a very useful hose?”
“你這裡有工作適合有軟管的動物嗎？”
“Come in! Come in!” my father cried. “You answer all my wishes. You can do the laundry and a heap of dirty dishes.”
“快進來，快進來”我爸爸大喊著，“你滿足了我所有願望。你可以洗衣服和一堆髒盤子。”
“Wash the upstairs windows. Sweep and mop the floors. Clean the car and the garage, and don’t forget the doors.”
“清洗樓上的玻璃。打掃地板和拖地。清洗車和車庫，不要忘了還有那些門。”
“Stop!” bellowed the elephant. “That’s too much work to do!” Then with a snort, it turned away and ran back to the zoo.
“停下”大象吼道。“有太多的工作要做了！”隨著一聲噴鼻聲，它轉身跑回來動物園。
