already、still和yet是英語中很常見的三個副詞，相應地，使用起來也有不少小陷阱：如何使用、在句中的位置以及三者之間的差別等。
Already
Already用於表明某事很早已經發生過。它位於句子中間，通常用於現在完成時。
在美式英語中already也可以用於一般過去時。
英式英語:
I have already done my homework.
我已經完成了我的作業。
He has already washed the car.
他已經洗了車。
美式英語:
I already did my homework.
我已經完成了我的作業。
He already washed the car.
他已經洗了車。
Still
still用來表達連續性的動作，通常用於肯定句中。still一般處於句子中間的位置，常用於現在進行時。
I am still doing my homework.
我還在做作業。
He is still washing his car.
他還在洗車。
still要求動詞使用進行體，除了當動詞是be動詞，have，或是其他感知動詞，或者你想表明習慣性的情況。
I still have the book that you gave me.
我還留著你給我的那本書。
I am still a strong guy.
我仍然是一個堅強的人。
She still goes jogging in the park. – HABIT
她仍然在公園裡慢跑。 - 習慣性動作
注意：still很少用於否定句。它通常被'not…any more'......或'no longer'所取代。
I no longer have the book that you gave me.
我不再擁有你給我的那本書。
I am not a strong guy anymore.
我不再是一個堅強的人了。
*主要的感官動詞：see, hear, taste, smell, listen, feel, watch.
Yet
Yet用於談論期待發生，但到此刻仍未發生的事情，指“到目前為止的任何時間”。Yet用於疑問句和否定句中。
Yet通常與現在完成時態連用，一般用於句子末尾。
Have you finished your homework yet? – Interrogative
你已經做完你的作業了嗎? - 疑問句
I haven’t washed my car yet. – Negative
我還沒洗過車。 - 否定
Yet很少用於肯定句，但是當它被使用於肯定句時，它有否定含義。
I have yet to read the ‘Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire’ book.
我還沒有讀過《哈利波特和火焰杯》一書。
Just
當我們想要表達不久以前(最近)發生的事情時，就會使用just。它常與現在完成時或過去完成時一起使用。
它常用在輔助動詞(have / has)和過去分詞之間，可以用於肯定和疑問句。
I’ve just called my grandmother. (Present Perfect)
我剛剛打電話給我的祖母。 (現在完成時)
We had just finished dinner. (Past Perfect)
我們剛吃完晚餐。 (過去完成時)
注意：在美式英語中，只能與一般過去時一起使用。
I just saw him outside.
我剛看到他在外面。
