“one's eyes are bigger than one's stomach，”stomach 是指人的胃，也就是存储食物的地方
1. Try to take less food. Your eyes are bigger than your stomach at every meal.
少拿点食物, 你每次吃饭都是眼大肚小。
2. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach when I go to all-you-can-eat buffets!
当每次吃不限量的自助餐时，我总是眼大肚小。
当然“one's eyes are bigger than one's stomach”还有另外一种含义：
承担多于自己能够应付的
Your eyes are bigger than your stomach if you think you can get all this work done by the end of the week.
如果你认为你自己这周末就可以完成工作，那你真是的“眼大肚小”（承担多于自己能够应付的）。
