1、There be句型
本單元主要學習There be句型，表示“在某處有某物或某人”。本單元側重的是There are的學習，包括肯定句否定句和一般疑問句的用法。
2、介詞
本課主要學習表方位的介詞的用法。如：on the hills, in the fields, next to the river。
三、課文語言點解析
（一）第1課
1、Look, Robert! This is the countryside. That's our town.
1）countryside，鄉村。
2）town，城鎮。
2、There are shops and houses in the countryside.
1）There are+複數名詞+地點，表示“某地有某物”。
2）shop，商店。
3）house，房子。
3、And there are farms.
1）and，而且。用於連接並列成分。
2）farm，農場。
4、There are tall trees next to the river.
1）tree，樹。
2）next to，靠近、鄰近。
3）river，河流。
5、What pretty flowers!
1）What引導的是感嘆句，用於感嘆花朵的漂亮。
2）pretty，漂亮的。
3）flower，花。
6、Look! There are sheep on the hills.
1）sheep，綿羊。sheep的單複數是相同額，本句話中的sheep是複數。
2）hill，小山、山丘。
7、And there are cows in the fields.
1）cow，母牛、奶牛。
2）field，田地、田野。
8、And there are rabbits.
rabbit，兔子。
9、Come back, Dan! There aren't rabbits in the river.
1）come back，回來。
2）There aren't是There are的否定表達。
3）in the river，在河裡。
（二）第2課
1、Are there shops in your town? Yes, there are. Look!
Are there+複數名詞+地點+?，這是There are的一般疑問句。其肯定回答為“Yes, there are.”。
2、Are there buses? No, there aren't.
1）There be的一般疑問句的否定回答為“No, there aren't.”。
2）bus，公交車。它是以s結尾的名詞，其複數形式要加es。
3、No buses? No! There aren't roads in our town.
1）“No buses?”是口語中的簡略形式，它相當於“There are no buses?”。這句話是用來表達難以置信的口吻。
2）road，道路、公路。
（三）第3課
1、My aunt's house is in the countryside.
1）my aunt's是名詞所有格的用法，表示“我小姨的...”。
2）主語+be+地點，表示“什麼東西或什麼人在哪裡”。比如：He is on the hill. 他在山上。
2、It's a little house with a yellow door and blue windows.
1）little，小的。側重強調“小而巧”。
2）with，表“有”，是一種伴隨，用來補充說明這個房子裡有什麼東西。
3、There are trees in front of the house.
in front of，在...前面。front，前面。
4、There are fields and hills behind the house.
behind，在...後面。是in front of的反義表達。
5、But there are roads from the countryside to the town and there are shops in the town.
1）but，但是。錶轉折。
2）from...to...，從某地到某地。
6、Look up! Look down!
1）up，向上。look up，往上看。
2）down，向下。look down，往下看。
7、There are clowns in the town.
clown，小丑。
8、There are kings with crowns in the town.
1）king，國王。
2）crown，王冠。
9、There are cowboys on brown cows in the town.
cowboy，牛仔。
10、There are crowds with flowers in the town.
crowd，人群、一群。
11、Wow! It's carnival now!
1）carnival，狂歡節、嘉年華會。
2）now，現在。
四、語音語調
1、字母組合ow的發音：常讀作/aʊ/，如crown和now。也可讀作/əʊ/，如yellow和slow。
五、語用文化
老師可介紹英美國家的鄉村及其農場的基本情況。
六、教學建議
1、重點操練句型“There are cows in the fields.”及其否定句、一般疑問句及其肯定或否定回答。
2、可拓展一些方位介詞。
3、可結合第3單元所學的There is的用法，進行對比學習。
