两个单词的首字母大写，这是一个专有名词，指的是“圣母玛利亚”。当然，也有一种说法是Mother Mary指的是Paul McCartney 故去的母亲Mary McCartney。

v. 发光，闪耀，照耀

The sun shines brightly.

太阳灿烂地照耀著。

这个词还有引申义，如果是人的某方面很突出，可以理解为这方面特质很“闪耀”，因此引申出一个词组，shine at，“在…方面出众，出类拔萃”。

She shines at foreign languages.

她的外语能力出众。

wake up to

wake up是“唤醒”的含义，但是注意，这里的to是介词，表达“伴随”着出现，所以这句话直译是“我醒了，伴随着音乐之声”。同样，我们也可以造句：

一些人喜欢伴着音乐读书。

Some people like to read books to music.

（第一个to是动词不定式to like；第二个to是介词，表伴随。）
