胡適（1891年12月17日～1962年2月24日），男，曾用名嗣穈，字希疆，學名洪騂，後改名適，字適之。 思想家、文學家、哲學家。徽州績溪人，以倡導“白話文”、領導新文化運動聞名於世。

It‘s all ordinary experience,
All ordinary images.
都是平常經驗，
都是平常影象。
By chance they emerge in a dream,
Turning out infinite new patterns.
偶然湧到夢中來，
變幻出多少新奇花樣！
It’s all ordinary feelings,
AH ordinary words.
都是平常情感，
都是平常言語。
By chance they encounter a poet,
Turning out infinite new verses.
偶然碰著個詩人，
變幻出多少新奇詩句！
Once intoxicated,
one learns the strength of wine,
醉過才知酒濃，
Once smitten,
one learns the power of love;
愛過才知情重。
You cannot write my poems
Just as I can not dream your dreams.
你不能做我的詩，
正如我不能做你的夢。
