Today’s phrase: a piece of cake.If something is easy to do then we can say that ‘it’s a piece of cake’. I think this idiom is fairly well known so perhaps it will be a piece of cake for most of you to learn it and use it. If someone asks you to do something for them and it is easy for you to help, then you can just say “piece of cake” which means it’s easy and you’ll be glad to do it. (You’ll probably notice that it’s most often pronounced as ‘peessa cake’)“I think learning English is a piece of cake.”“Could you water my plants for me while I’m on holiday?”“Piece of cake.”
