1. diverse各種各樣的 diversion轉移¹消遣（recreation）²

2. amplify 放大（信號，聲音） magnify放大(大小，體積)

3. voyage 航行（日常用語） navigation航行（書面）

4. act up 出毛病，不正常
She’s been acting up all day.
她一天都不正常
5. occupy 佔領
Profession專業、職業（指經過專業培訓的職業）

6. plaza服務型廣場square露天大型廣場
7. Muddle through胡亂應付過去; 勉強矇混過關
We will muddle through and just play it day by day
我們會應付過關的，就一天一天地演吧。
8. Commit犯（罪，自殺）¹承諾，保證(做)，忠於(某人)²committed忠誠的，堅定的committed to致力於

12. Averse 不喜歡，反對 avert避免

他反對任何改變。
He did his best to avert suspicion.
他儘量避嫌
13. Ditch溝渠¹拋棄，丟棄²
We found it lying in some ditch in the middle of the desert.
我們發現它躺在沙漠中部的一個溝渠裡。
I can't bring myself to ditch him and start again.
我不忍心蹬掉他再覓新歡。

14. Look up to you

15. counterfeit、fake、forgery 假的
16. Eyes candy 花瓶。比喻某個東西看上去雖好，可是並不實用，也可以指外貌出色但沒有真本事的人，有點兒像我們中文裡常說的“華而不實”。
