普及個小知識：一個詞如何被收錄進OED？
根據牛津大學出版社的說法，一個詞必須要求在一段“合理的時間”內具備充分獨立使用的例子才能被納入考慮範圍。出版商還會考慮這個詞是否已達到“普遍接受水平”，即讀者無需釋義便知其義。
How does a word get into the OED?According to Oxford University Press, a word must require sufficient independent examples of use over a “reasonable amount of time” to be considered for inclusion. The publishers also consider whether the word has reached a “level of general currency”, that is, understood by readers without the need of an explanation of its meaning.
