Outside確實可以表示“在外面”，但是它指you are not inside a building，也就是在房子外面，露天的環境裡，因此，eat outside並不是我們常說的去外面餐廳吃飯，而是“在露天吃飯”。
Eat out才是指“外出就餐”，也可以說dine out（dine表示吃飯，進餐）。
舉個例子：
① When Adam eats out，he often goes to the fast food restaurant.
當亞當外出就餐時，他經常去快餐店吃。

1）Out of the window
Out of the window，也可寫做Out the window，一看以為是“在窗戶外面”,其實是指你努力了很久做某件事，結果不知道為啥煮熟的鴨子飛出窗外飛走了，讓人崩潰。
所以，這個詞組是指突然間失去了某些東西，一切化為烏有，消失殆盡。
例句：
① When my boss told me that I made a serious mistake，my hard work went out the window.
當我的老闆告訴我我犯了個嚴重的錯誤，我的辛勤勞動都化為烏有。
② All the work went out the window because my computer crashed again.
因為我電腦又一次死機了，我所有的努力全部都白費了。
2）Out of the woods
Woods是“森林”的意思，out of the woods從字面看是“在森林外面”，想想看，在原始森林裡，迷路了好可怕，心驚膽戰著終於走出了森林，意味著你現在安全了。
因此，out of the woods意思就是脫離險境，脫離困境。
例句：
① When the patient got out of the woods，everyone relaxed.
當這個病人脫離生命危險後，每個人都舒了口氣。
② As soon as the device becomes normal, all of us will be out of the woods.
一旦設備正常，我們所有人就都會脫離險境了。
3）Out of this world
“out of the world”你以為是“滾出這個世界”？其實是在誇你！你可以這樣想，某件事物不是這個世界所能擁有的，類似“此曲只應天上有，人間難得幾回聞”吶！
因此，out of this world指的是絕妙的，精彩絕倫的，簡直棒極了！
例句：
① Mom，this apple pie is really out of this world.
老媽，這個蘋果派簡直了，太好吃了！
② Wow，the concert is out of this world！
哇，這個音樂會真是精彩絕倫啊！
